Web Site Use Analytics
In the future, we may use a web site analytics tracker to understand usage patterns on our web site to better improve the user experience. It is typical for analytics trackers to record your IP address and the date/time to identify you as a separate user session and then record which pages of our web site you use and associate that information back to your user session. This information is anonymous and we make no effort to share private information such as your name or email address to correspond with recorded analytics data. More information about how you can best control your analytics data can be found on the Google Privacy Terms page.
Who we share your data with
We do not expressly or explicitly share your data or personal information with any 3rd parties.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
In order to further protect your privacy, as soon as funds are available, we will be implementing enhanced privacy protection which will allow you to see what personal information is stored on our servers and allow you to request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. You will also be able to request to receive an exported file of the personal data stored on our site, including any data you have provided to us, not including any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How we protect your data
Online data security is a challenging issue for all web sites and we provide our best efforts to ensure our systems – and your data- are secure. Our web site is hosted on dedicated servers in a secure data center and we pay extra for “managed hosting” which means a trained staff is monitoring our services with software to detect intrusions and forewarn us of attempts to circumvent our security. We’ve invested in our own SSL certificates which enable us to encrypt all data to and from our web servers. However, even with all those precautions, all online sites are can still be vulnerable to a data breach and you accept that risk when you use any web site, including ours. We will notify you immediately if any data breach is successful.
